Why hackers attacked any developer games while E3's on the way ?

could be a number of reasons. Maybe to steal their ideas, maybe to make people mad, maybe to show off how smart they are, or maybe its even something personal. Whoever did it is most likely not concerned about what the general public wants, and is only looking out for himself/herself.
